Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PhoneShortlist.com (“PhoneShortlist,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you visit the website or contact us.

Who we are and how to contact us

PhoneShortlist is an independent product-research publication covering phones, earbuds, mobile accessories, and related consumer technology. The website address is https://phoneshortlist.com/.

For privacy requests, corrections, source suggestions, or website issues, email [email protected]. No response time is guaranteed.

Information processed when you visit

The hosting, security, caching, and analytics systems used by the site may process technical information such as an IP address, date and time, requested URL, referring page, browser and device information, approximate region, security events, and diagnostic data. This information is used to deliver the site, protect it from abuse, diagnose faults, understand aggregate usage, and measure content performance.

Public review pages do not currently accept visitor comments. PhoneShortlist does not currently offer a public newsletter signup or an on-site contact form. Administrative login areas are restricted to authorized site operators.

Email contact

If you email PhoneShortlist, we process your email address, message, attachments, and related delivery metadata to evaluate and handle the request, maintain an appropriate record, prevent abuse, and protect legal rights. Do not send passwords, payment-card data, retailer account credentials, medical information, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

Analytics and cookies

PhoneShortlist may use Google Site Kit and Google Analytics to understand aggregate visits, traffic sources, devices, pages viewed, interactions, and performance. These services may use cookies or similar identifiers. The site also uses essential security, caching, and administration technologies. Browser controls can limit cookies, although doing so may affect some site functions.

Affiliate links and external services

Some outbound links are affiliate links, including links to Amazon. PhoneShortlist may record the article, product identifier, retailer destination, affiliate tag, and click event for aggregate attribution. Retailers and other external websites process visits, cookies, accounts, purchases, payments, shipping, and returns under their own privacy notices. PhoneShortlist does not receive a buyer’s full retailer account or payment-card details.

Service providers and international processing

Information may be processed by providers that support hosting, content delivery and security, analytics, email, website administration, and affiliate reporting, including Oracle-hosted infrastructure, Cloudflare, Google, Microsoft, WordPress service components, and Amazon. A provider may process data in countries different from yours under its own terms and safeguards.

Legal bases and retention

Depending on the context and applicable law, processing is based on legitimate interests in operating, securing, measuring, and improving the website; consent where it is requested; compliance with legal obligations; or handling a request you initiate. Technical logs, analytics records, affiliate reports, and email correspondence are retained only as long as reasonably needed for their stated purposes, security, dispute handling, accounting, or legal obligations, subject to provider settings and backup cycles.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and to withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. Send a request to [email protected] with enough information to identify the relevant interaction. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.

Children, security, and changes

PhoneShortlist is not directed to children and does not knowingly request children’s personal information. Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. This policy may be updated when the site, providers, or legal requirements change; the date at the top identifies the current version.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand visits, referral sources, engagement and clicks on affiliate links. Advertising storage and personalization are disabled. Analytics storage is denied by default in the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland, and when Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track is present. Google may receive limited cookieless measurements in those cases. We do not send names, email addresses or purchase details to Google Analytics. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
